Project: Closing Night Gift for Kelli O’Hara
To celebrate The King and I’s closing performance at The London Palladium (Summer 2018), I was commissioned by actor and singer Kelli O’Hara to design a gift for the cast and crew.
I created an art print, illustrating symbols, objects, and visuals used to honor the essence of the show and specific production. My goal was to colorfully represent specific characters, as well as the cast and crew as a whole.
Additionally, I explored how this print would live virtually and animated the illustration.
Project: Internship, Freelance
Client: Atlantic Theater Company
In collaboration with the marketing team, I used branding elements to create a 2018/2019 season launch announcement animation for Atlantic Theater Company’s social media outlets. Through color and stop-motion style movement, we wanted the animation to be brief, but equally eye-catching and engaging. This marked one of the first motion applications for the theater company.

I'm always looking for opportunities to combine my passion for design and theater. I've used illustration to highlight a growing number of memorable theatrical productions, creating a style different from what is usually seen tied to theatrical art. I take a minimal approach, removing facial features to create a more universal effect, honoring past, present, and future casts.

Project: The Interval
Client: The 24 Hour Plays
On November 14, 2016, Director Leigh Silverman was honored with the Artistic Inspiration Award at the 16th Annual Gala Production of The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway. The Interval joined in on the celebration and produced a video honoring Leigh. The video was animated by me and played at the event, held at The American Airlines Theatre.

In Summer 2017, I took a two-week color study abroad course in France. From Paris to Avignon to Nice, with memorable day trips in between, I had the pleasure of exploring the French culture and all the color that came along with it.

Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens.
The 1st Amendment guarantees the right to free expression and free association. May artists of all kinds continue to lead, follow, uplift, and provoke through their work. I contributed to this reminder in the form of three postcards.

In Summer 2016, I was fortunate enough to visit Iran for the second time. Iran is my background, my family, but also a place that continues to remain mysterious to me. Over the course of three weeks, I observed the unbelievable beauty of this country: a beauty that is unfortunately rarely appreciated today. Visiting cities like Shiraz and Isfahan, feeling serenity by the Caspian Sea, and experiencing ancient Islamic wonders are just some of the many opportunities I had on my trip. Take a look.
